Obituary of Carol Ann Capozzi

Carol Ann Buckley Capozzi, age 77, of Fairfield, beloved wife of the late John D. Capozzi, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 with her loving son by her side. Born in Bridgeport on October 14, 1939, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Mary Surel Buckley. Carol enjoyed painting and had a passion for photography. She enjoyed taking photos of her entire family as well as the natural world around her. The memories and moments she captured on camera will forever remain a family treasure. A fun loving person, Carol enjoyed the simple things in life and especially loved her trips to the casino. Above all these things, she was a loving wife and mother. She dedicated herself to the care of her family and the love and care she gave unconditionally will always remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Survivors include her loving son, John D. Capozzi II, and his companion Ivone Almeida and her three daughters, Shelbie, Courtnie and Jordyne, her beloved canine companion Cosmo, two sisters, Joan Keogh of Milford and Noreen Smith and her husband Harold of Flagler Beach, Florida, brothers and sisters-in-law, Leonard A. Capozzi Jr. and his wife Patricia of Trumbull, Carol D'Eramo of Trumbull, Marilyn J. Capozzi of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Ann Marie Capozzi of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Robert Anthony of Shelton, and Robert Jacko of Stratford, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three sisters, Maryleah Anthony, Dolores Jacko and Valerie McLarney. Funeral services will take place on Monday, January 30, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 11:00 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in the St. Monica Mausoleum in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Sunday from 1-5 p.m. Flowers or, in lieu of flowers, a donation to Lord Chamberlain Nursing and Rehabilitation Center or Connecticut Hospice would be greatly appreciated as these angels worked tirelessly to care for and comfort Carol.
