Obituary of Margaret Ann Gigliotti

Margaret Ann "Peg" Gigliotti, age 95, longtime resident of Trumbull, beloved wife of the late Dominic J. Gigliotti, passed away on Saturday, January 21, 2017, at Connecticut Hospice in Branford. Born in Bridgeport on May 9, 1921, she was a daughter of the late James and Mary Amodeo DeStefano. She was also predeceased by a daughter, Gayle Gigliotti Citrano. Margaret was employed at the original D.M. Reads in the Trumbull Mall and retired from Macy's after 32 years. She was an active member of the North End Bethany Senior Center in Bridgeport, and a longtime parishioner of St. Theresa Church in Trumbull. Her home and yard were very important to her and she took pride and joy tending to both. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be truly missed by all who knew her. Margaret is survived by her loving children, Donald Gigliotti and his wife Linda of Florida, Gerald Gigliotti and his wife Barbara of Hamden, and Janice Gigliotti and her husband Charles Lupien of Virginia; grandchildren Jennifer, Jonathan, and Carolyn, and great grandchildren Carmindy and Alison, a brother, George DeStefano and his wife Angie, a sister-in-law, Antoinnette DeStefano, and several nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will take place on Saturday, January 28, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Interment will follow in Long Hill Burial Grounds, Trumbull. Friends and relatives may greet the family on Saturday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Connecticut Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford, CT 06405.
