Obituary of Felicia D'Amato Savo

Felicia D’Amato Savo, age 91, of Milford, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, December 21, 2016, at Milford Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Enrico Savo. Born in Pettorano sul Gizio, Provincia di L'Aquila, Italy, on September 29, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Angelo and Lucia DiCenso D’Amato. Felicia loved cooking, sewing and crocheting. Her greatest enjoyment was found in the time she spent with her family, which was of utmost importance to her. Felicia was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Felicia was the loving mother of Anna DeAcetis and her husband Ralph of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Eva Salamon and her husband Gary of Fairfield, the late Henry Savo and his wife Sue of Shelton, Linda Moran and her husband Lou of Trumbull, and Lucy Terentiuk and her husband Ted of Milford. She was the grandmother of Amy Savo, Richie Savo and his wife Jeanette, Jennifer Terentiuk, Stefanie Terentiuk and her husband Mike Sutyla, Christopher Terentiuk and Lisa Salamon. Felicia was the great-grandmother of Henry Savo, Tetherly Savo-Dennett and Leon Sutyla. She was the sister of Albert D’Amato and his wife Gerrie of Newtown, and aunt to several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull, and at 11:00 a.m. in St. Margaret’s Shrine, Bridgeport, for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in the Chapel Mausoleum of St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may greet the family on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
