Obituary of Dorothy M. Gallucci

Dorothy M. Pacenti Gallucci, age 92, of Monroe passed away peacefully on Friday, October 21, 2016 at Lord Chamberlain Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was the beloved wife of the late Charles Gallucci. Born in Phillipsburg, New Jersey on January 18, 1924, she was a daughter of the late James and Mary Sheola Pacenti. Dorothy was an avid ballroom dancer and found great enjoyment dancing with her late husband. She enjoyed gardening and was also a very talented artist working with oils, watercolors and charcoal. She was proud to have entered many local art exhibits where her work was showcased. She also found great enjoyment traveling with her family, however, her greatest pleasure was found in the time she spent with her family and taking care of them. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her loving children, Charlene Nolan and her husband Douglas of Monroe, Charles Gallucci of Cape Coral, FL and Michele Ladino and her husband Paul of Gulf Harbors, FL, nine beloved grandchildren, Robert, Richard and Lauren Nolan, Jennifer Kline, Vincent and Michael Gallucci, Stephen Scala, Sandra Simoes and James Carpenter, her brother, Edward Pacenti and his wife Phyllis of Bloomsbury, NJ, three sisters, Irene Noto of Carrolton, TX, Jeannette Castellano of Dallas, TX and Lorraine Pacenti of Trenton, NJ, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Charles, she was also predeceased by her daughter-in-law, Mary Gallucci and siblings, Arthur Pacenti, Lena Attinello, Dena Merlo and James Pacenti. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. directly in St. Catherine of Siena Church, 200 Shelton Rd., Trumbull. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may greet the family on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
