Obituary of Patricia Ann Ward

Patricia Ann (Dillon) Ward, age 78, of Trumbull, beloved wife of Michael C. Ward, passed away on Friday, September 23, 2016 in Lord Chamberlain Health Care Center. Born in New York City on October 8, 1937, and raised in Waterbury, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Marie Dillon. Mrs. Ward received her Bachelor's Degree in education from the Teachers College of Connecticut and began her career in teaching in the Waterbury and Bristol School Systems and later worked in the office at The International Institute of CT in Bridgeport, a non-profit organization. She was a devoted parishioner at Christ the King Church in Trumbull and had been a Religious Education Teacher. In addition to her husband Michael of 55 years, she is survived by three sons, Michael T. Ward and his wife Laurie of Newtown, Peter J. Ward and his wife Linda of Cheshire and Jeffrey Ward and his wife Amy of Indiana, a brother, Jack Dillon and his wife Johanne of Florida, sister-in-law, Lola Dillon of South Carolina, seven grandchildren, Jessica Kelly and her husband Joseph, Thomas Ward and his wife Lynn, Matthew, Daniel, Andy, Ben and Abby Ward as well as three great grandchildren, Avery, Archer and Ashley and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother Thomas (T.J.) Dillon. Funeral services will take place on Monday, September 26, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in Christ the King Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by her nephew, Reverend Terrence Walsh. Interment will follow in Long Hill Burial Grounds, Trumbull. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Sunday from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.
