Obituary of Atanase Mustaka

Atanase "Artie" Mustaka, beloved husband of Mary Elizabeth "Betsey" Perrocco Mustaka, of Fairfield passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2016 at Bridgeport Hospital with his loving family by his side. Born in Woonsocket, RI on November 26, 1941, he was a son of the late Dennis and Caloipa Bardu Mustaka. Mr. Mustaka was a United States Marine Corps veteran and a highly skilled self-employed custom upholsterer. He took great pride at being a hard worker who could fix anything. He was the sole owner and operator of A&B Upholstery from 1971 where he worked full time until the time of his passing. He enjoyed frequent trips to his favorite spot, Naples Florida. He was a recreational golfer and an avid Jets fan. At the top of his list of favorite things to do was to spend time with his granddaughter, his "mouse" Marissa. In addition to his wife Mary of 29 years, survivors include his two loving sons, Robert Dennis Mustaka and his longtime girlfriend Gail McDaniel of West Haven, Barry Mustaka and his wife Michele of Shelton, a cherished granddaughter, Marissa and a sister, Catherine Goulette of Trumbull. He was predeceased by a brother, Thomas Mustaka. All funeral services were privately held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements were entrusted to the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
