Obituary of John C. Dapp

John C. Dapp Jr., age 91, of Bridgeport, beloved husband of the late Mary Senese Dapp passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at St Vincent's Medical Center. Born in Bridgeport on August 3, 1924, he was a son of the late John C. Sr., and Matilda Fink Dapp and was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII. A carpenter by trade, he was a proud member of the Carpenters Union, Local 210 for 64 years. He was an avid fan of the New York Giants and was a volunteer at Marfair Health Care Center in Trumbull for 22 years. The family would like to express a special thanks to George for all of the thoughtful things he did for John. Survivors include a daughter, Jacqueline Russo of Seymour, a son, John C. Dapp III and his wife Claudia of Newtown, two granddaughters, Sarah Dapp and her husband Douglas Randlett and Rachel Wilson and her husband Marc, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Sophie. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 11:00 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment with full military honors will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
