Obituary of Elisa P. Gallo

Elisa Piccini Gallo, age 94, formerly of Fairfield and Bridgeport, beloved wife of the late Anthony J. Gallo, passed away on Thursday evening, April 28, 2016 in St. Joseph Center. Born in Bridgeport on July 27, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Cristoforo and Beatrice Campetti Piccini. Lisa, as she was known to her friends, was predeceased by her brothers John and Frank Piccini and her sister Lena Gaul. She worked as an assembler at Sikorsky Aircraft and General Electric, as well as in the Town of Fairfield School system. She loved to cook and enjoyed our many family gatherings. Survivors include sons, Christopher Gallo and his wife Debbie of Shelton, Anthony Gallo Jr. and his fiancé Karen Alexander of Davidsonville, MD, seven grandchildren, Jennifer Gallo-McPhatter and her husband Jeffrey, Christopher Gallo, Jessica Buckens and her husband Sam, Thomas Gallo, T.J. Gallo, Kelsey Gallo and her fiancée Ian Stewart, Leah Gallo, a great grandson, Jake Gallo and a sister-in-law, Gilda Paternoster as well as many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff on the Third Floor at St. Joseph Center who loved her and cared for her over the past four years, as well as her Compassus Hospice & Palliative Care team. We know she loved you all. Friends are invited to meet directly in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 545 Stratfield Rd., Fairfield on Monday, May 2, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport. Friends may greet the family on Sunday from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at The Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
