Obituary of Margaret E. Loris

Margaret (Peggie) Sullivan Loris, age 57, of Shelton, beloved wife of Richard Loris, passed away peacefully at St. Vincent's Medical Center on Friday February 5, 2016 with her loving family by her side. Born in West Springfield MA, on November 29, 1958, she was a daughter of Thomas Sullivan, of East Otis, MA and Palm City, FL and the late Margaret Gray Sullivan. Peggie was a graduate of Cathedral Catholic High School class of 1976 and went on to earn her Bachelors degree from American International College of MA and her Masters degree at Sacred Heart University. A passionate and dedicated educator in the Norwalk Public School System for 33 years, Peggie started her career at Norwalk High School, then went on to West Rocks Middle School and retired from Nathan Hale Middle School as a Team Leader and a Subject Area Leader for the school system. She was an active parishioner of St. Margaret's Shrine in Bridgeport, serving as a Lector, a member of the St. Theresa Guild, a member of the Prayer Team, and the Head Volunteer at the St. Anthony's Feast. Peggie was also a recipient of the St. Augustine Service Medal by Bishop Caggiano in 2015. But above all, she was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother who will be missed by all. In addition to her husband, Rich of 32 years and her father, Tom, survivors include her three loving children, Ryan Loris and his wife Carly, Daniel Loris and his wife Jennifer, and Nicole Loris and her companion Jesse Duncan as well as five cherished grandchildren; Lilyana, Isabella, Dylan, Olivia, Delilah. She also leaves to cherish her memory thirteen brothers and sisters, Anne Marie Carlson, Michael, Thomas, Robert, Stephen, George, Eileen, Mark, Mary, Paul, Kevin, and William Sullivan, and Amy Judy; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was pre deceased by her sister, Lucy Sullivan Stoney. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at 11 a.m. directly in St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main St., Trumbull. Interment will follow in the in St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may greet the family on Monday from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
