Obituary of Patsy T. Gasparrini

Patsy T. Gasparrini, age 79, of Trumbull passed away peacefully on Friday August 28, 2015 surrounded by his loving family at St. Vincent's Medical Center. He was the beloved husband of Elizabeth Cervenansky Gasparrini. Born in Bridgeport on January 28, 1936, he was a son of the late Gaetano and Beatrice Federici Gasparrini. He was proud to have served his country honorably as an MP in the U.S. Army. Patsy was the President of B&G Piping Company of Milford before his retirement in 1997. An avid sportsman and very skilled wood worker and cabinet maker, his passion for building things led to the fact that he built all of his homes. He was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus Council 16, Local 777 Plumbers and Steamfitters Union and Fairfield County Fish and Game Club. Mr. Gasparrini was also honored for his service to the Carmelite Sisters at St. Joseph Manor. He found great enjoyment going on cruises with his wife and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. In addition to his beloved wife Elizabeth of 52 years, other survivors include his three sons, Thomas P. Gasparrini and his wife Laurie, Joseph A. Gasparrini and his wife Michelle and Karl W. Gasparrini and his wife Pamela, all of Trumbull, his eight cherished grandchildren, Gina, Mary, Michael, Patrick, Joseph Jr, John, Sarah and Kyle Gasparrini, a brother, Dominick Gasparrini and his wife Irene of Milford and a sister, Gloria Hawley of Vermont. He was predeceased by his sisters, Mary "Dolly" Alter, Jeanne Fellone and Gilda Gasparrini. The family would like to thank the staff of DaVita Dialysis Center as well as St. Vincent's Medical Center for the care and compassion that had been extended to them during Patsy's time there. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. directly in St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main St., Trumbull. Interment will follow in Long Hill Burial Grounds, Trumbull. Friends may greet the family on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 2080 Silas Deane Highway, 2nd Floor, Rocky Hill, CT. 06067.
