Obituary of John F. Mancini

John F. Mancini, age 69, of Bridgeport, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at Ludlowe Health Care, Fairfield to join his infant daughter Jessica, who had passed exactly 26 years prior. He was the beloved husband of Deborah Capozzi Mancini. Born in Bridgeport on May 31, 1946, he was a son of the late Robert and Florence Marella Mancini. A U.S. Navy Veteran having served during the Vietnam War, John also owned the Dolan's Corner, formerly of Bridgeport for over 25 years. An avid sports fan, especially the New York Yankees, John was also a member of the Port 5 Naval Veterans. He will be remembered fondly with many great memories of trips to Madison Square Garden for the NIT basketball tournaments. A loving and devoted husband, father and brother, he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. In addition to his beloved wife of 26 years, Deborah, other survivors include his daughter, the love of his life, Morgan Mancini of Bridgeport, four siblings, Patricia Yaglowski and her husband Henry of Trumbull, Richard Mancini and his wife Carol of Bridgeport, MaryAnn Juliano and her husband Arnold of Seymour and Michelle Healey of Wethersfield, sisters-in-law, Elaine Fry of Monroe and Donna Capozzi of Bridgeport, a special goddaughter, Alicea Ardito, as well as several nieces and nephews. John was predeceased by his brothers, Robert, William and Mark Mancini, sister-in-law, Marie Mancini, brother-in-law, James Fry and niece, Melissa Erika Mancini. The family would like to thank the entire 4th floor staff and Administration of Ludlowe Center for Rehabilitation. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull and at 11:00 a.m. in St. Andrew Church, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment with full military honors will follow in the Garden Mausoleum of St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford.
