Obituary of Thomas C. Ficano

Thomas C. Ficano, age 56, of Shelton, beloved husband of Peggy Napoleone Ficano, passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 in St. Vincent's Medical Center with his family by his side. Born in Bridgeport on November 18, 1958, he was a son of the late Joseph C. Ficano Sr. and Regina Smith Ficano. Mr. Ficano served in the United States Marine Corps and later graduated from the CT School of Electronics. He was an electrical engineer with Northrop Grumman Norden Systems in Norwalk for many years before his illness. He cherished the time attending his son's sporting events. He enjoyed driving his 1980 Corvette and motorcycle trips with friends, playing golf and boating. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends. In addition to his wife Peggy of 26 years, survivors include his children, Brittany and Michael Ficano, both of Shelton, two brothers, Joseph C. Ficano Jr. and his wife Linda of Stratford, Leonard Ficano and his wife Barbara of Jupiter, FL, a brother-in-law, Vincent Napoleone and his fiancé Sharon Goodkowsky of Shelton, two sisters-in-law, Pat Canning and her husband Chris of Boca Raton, FL and Mary Budzilek and her husband Russ of Bridgeport, as well as several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at St. Vincent's Medical Center and the doctors who treated him over the last two years as well as all the friends who provided so much love and support. Friends can greet the family on Friday, July 24, 2015 from 4-8 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. A celebration of his life will take place on Friday night at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home followed by Military Honors. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
