Obituary of Charles F. Seibold

Chuck (Charles) Seibold of Connecticut passed away peacefully at home on June 26, 2015 with his devoted wife, Marjorie, at his side. Chuck was born in Brooklyn, NY, in 1936, the eldest son of Charles and Dorothy Seibold. His parents and brothers, John and George, predeceased him. Chuck had great respect for the military and served honorably in the National Guard. He was employed by New York Life Insurance for 59 years. Chuck loved his career and always enjoyed what he did so that it never seemed like work to him. His clients knew this and reciprocated his love and respect. Chuck loved the great outdoors and was "one with nature" as an avid hunter, fisherman, archer and marksman. He shared his great enthusiasm for his hobbies and interests with family and friends and always had great stories to tell about his adventures. Chuck is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Marjorie Seibold; his stepdaughter, Jennifer Shairer and husband, Craig, Trumbull, CT; his daughters, Diana Baxter and husband, Steve, Sandy Hook, CT; Carol Wise and her husband Jeff, Newtown, CT; and Susan Garrison, Oxford, CT. He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren: Hannah and Ally Shairer, Keith Baxter, Kim and Katelyn Wise, Micaela and Sean Garrison. 1 niece and 2 nephews also survive him. Chuck lived by his favorite quote from Winston Churchill and began each day by reciting it: "Never – Never –Never Give Up". That quote ruled his life to the very end. Friends may greet the family on Saturday, July 18, 2015 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull followed by a service celebrating his life at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions to The National Rifle Association of America 11250 Waples Mill Road Fairfax, VA 22030 or The Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, P.O. Box 5028 Hagerstown, MD 21741-5028.
