Obituary of Philomena M. Mingolello

Philomena Marsilio Mingolello, age 90, of Bridgeport, beloved wife of the late Rudy Mingolello, passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 in Gardener Heights. Born in Meyersdale, PA on July 23, 1924, she was a daughter of the late Panfilio and Madeline Dirienzo Marsilio. Mrs. Mingolello retired from Modern Plastics in Bridgeport where she was a lead lady. She was a member of the Red Hat Society where she made many friends and fond memories. She also enjoyed traveling and taking bus trips, especially to the Mohegan Sun Casino. Philomena was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend to all. Surviving relatives include three daughters, Linda Posta of Easton, Sharon Ewaskie and her husband Glenn of Milford, and Donna Gyuricsko and her husband William of Trumbull; three grandchildren, Dawn Black and her husband Brian, Denise Miranda and her husband Michael, and Justin K. Posta; three great grandchildren, Robert, Madilynn and Michael; a sister-in-law, Mary Marsilio along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends. She was pre-deceased by her son-in-law, Albert J. Posta and seven siblings, Mary, Angelo, Rose, Anthony, Patsy, Annie, and Sam. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Andrew Church, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Relatives and friends may call on Friday from 4:00-8:00 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
