Obituary of Jennie Supersano

Jennie M. Supersano, 99 of Waterford, formerly of Trumbull CT, passed away peacefully April 18, 2015 surrounded by her family. She was born October 26, 1915 in Tuckahoe, NY to Lorenzo and Delia Pagliaroli. She married Rosario Supersano in 1939, after he gained her father's approval with a 50 cent per week raise. She was a lifelong member of Holy Rosary Church in Bridgeport and later St. Paul's Catholic Church in Waterford. She was a member of the St. Theresa Guild in Trumbull. During World War II she was employed at Remington Arms in Bridgeport while supporting the war effort. In 1965, her sister, cousin and extended families purchased adjacent properties on a quaint cul-de-sac in Trumbull and built their homes. There are many memories of dinners, pokeno, pinochle, swimming, and socializing. She devoted much of her life to her family, never missing a good party. She attended countless baptisms, graduations, birthday parties and weddings. Always up for a vacation, casino trip or a cup of coffee with the friends and family she loved. She enjoyed traveling with her cousins and friends on multiple cruises and tours. She was part of a large Italian family that loved life. She will be sadly missed. She is pre-deceased by her parents, her husband, Rosario, sister, Evelyn and brother, George. She is survived by her only son, Russell (fondly known as her Rusty) his wife Dolores of Old Lyme, grandchildren, Michele Supersano Dexter, her husband C. Emerson Dexter, Nicole Supersano English, her husband Michael English, Russell Supersano Jr., his wife Sarena, Marc Supersano, his wife Heather, great grandchildren, Julia and Zebulon Dexter, Josephine and Lillian English, Marco, Madeline, Hunter and Molly Supersano as well as her cousin, Jean (Dolly) Daniels and countless nieces and nephews. We would like to acknowledge her caregivers, Deborah, Vashti, Martha and Donna. We would also like to thank the nurses and staff at Lawrence and Memorial for making her passing as gentle as possible. Friends are invited to meet directly in St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main St., Trumbull on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford. Family and friends may call on Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at The Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to please donate to any Catholic organization of your choosing.
