Obituary of Mary Agnes Stavola

Mary Seri Stavola, age 84, of Stratford, the retired proprietor of Johnny's Restaurant of Stratford, died on Saturday, April 16, 2005 in Lord Chamberlain Health Care Center. Born in Danbury, she was a daughter of the late Cesare and Rose Ross Seri, and was a Stratford resident for many years. Mrs Stavola was a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court St. Cecilia #735 and a past member of the St. James Ladies Guild.

She was the widow of John A. Stavola, and was pre-deceased by two brothers, Anthony and John Seri.

Survivors include two sons, Angelo Stavola and John (Jay) Stavola, both of Stratford, a grandson, John P. Stavola of Shelton, two brothers, Michael Seri and his wife Pat and Joseph Seri, all of Danbury, three sisters, Florence Klezovich and her husband Joseph of Seymour, Teresa Carlo and her husband Michael of Danbury and Jeanne Ferrauiolo and her husband Frank of Danbury, sister in law Mary Alice Seri of Danbury, and many nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, April 19, 2005 at 8:00 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 9:00 a.m. in St. James Church, Stratford for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury. Friends may call on Monday from 4-8 p.m
