Obituary of Julia E. Puskar

Julia E.Puskar, age 93, entered into eternal rest on Friday, March 18, 2005 at Cambridge Manor, Fairfield. She was the devoted wife of the late George M. Puskar, daughter of the late Stephen and Julia Andriso, beloved mother of Richard Puskar and his wife Elaine of Trumbull, and Shirley Eggers and her husband Jack also of Trumbull; beloved sister of Helen Galya and Ann Horne of Torrington and Steve Andriso of El Cajon CA.; loving Grandmother of Erik Eggers and his wife Kimberley, Jenna Sevillano and her husband Agustin, Jacqueline Guzek and her husband Stanley and Stacey Ciardi and her husband Christopher, seven great grandchildren who she adored and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Puskar was born in Bridgeport, on July 7, 1911. She had been a former resident of Bridgeport but presently lived in Milford. Julia and her late husband George were the retired owners of Al Christies Package Store in Milford. She was Past President of Saint John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Mothers and Daughters Club, Chartered member of The Holy Name of Jesus Ladies Guild, member of the The Slovak Alliance and Catholic Sokols , volunteered at Bridgeport Health Care facility (formerly Dinan Center) as a Marion Volunteer for the past 42 years, and also belonged to several Senior Citizen Clubs in Milford. In addition to enjoying her Family, Church and many Friends, she also looked forward to her little trips to the Casino. 

Funeral services will take place Tuesday , March 22, 2005 at 10 AM from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull and at 11 AM in Saint John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church, St. Johns Drive, Trumbull. Interment will follow at St. Johns Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call Monday from 4 - 8 PM.
