Marie Walker Pfannkuch, age 100, of Shelton, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, November 25, 2017. She was the beloved wife of the late Carl O. Pfannkuch. Born in Springfield, MA, on May 3, 1917, she was a daughter of the late Everett and Marie Antonucci Walker. Marie had been employed by General Electric as an executive secretary for many years. She found great enjoyment playing cards, especially bridge and loved to cook. She also took great pride tending to her plants. A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her beloved husband Carl, Marie was also predeceased by her daughter, Carol Ann Walsh and a sister, Eileen Glod. She is survived by her son, Gerald Pfannkuch and his wife Sandra of Trumbull, her two grandchildren, Katrina Pfannkuch and her partner Charles Sharp of Fort Collins, CO and Amy Simons and her husband Keith of Monroe as well as her three great grandchildren, Annabelle, Keegan and Georgia. She also leaves behind several brothers-in-law, a sister-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may greet the family on Saturday, December 2, 2017 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. A memorial service will take place at 4:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
