Mafalda Baldino, age 87, beloved wife of the late Alfred Baldino, Sr. and longtime resident of Bridgeport, passed away on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at St. Vincent's Medical Center surrounded by her family. Born in Bridgeport on November 27, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Genevive and Frank Manente. Mafalda was employed with L.P. McAdams for over 30 years prior to her retirement. In her free time, she enjoyed crocheting and cooking for her family. Her grandchildren were her life. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend who will be truly missed by all who knew her.
Mafalda's survivors include a daughter, Joanne Zavodjancik and her husband James of Bridgeport, and a son, Alfred Baldino, Jr. and his wife Barbara of Stratford; her cherished grandchildren, Jessica Kozlowski and her husband James of Shelton, James Zavodjancik, Jr. of Trumbull, and Michael, Matthew, and Jason Baldino; her adored great grandson, James Kozlowski, Jr., who always brought a smile to her face; a sister, Vera DiDonato and her husband Vincent of Bridgeport; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her loving siblings, Frank, Patsy, Johnny, Joey, Rose, Eleanor, Angie, and Frances.
A Funeral Home Service will take place on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at 12:30 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. Entombment will follow in the Garden Mausoleum of St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
